Just the other day I dropped my Zune mp3 player (which I’ve had for years) and the entire face of the screen cracked. Although still in perfect working condition with no internal damage done, I decided to start searching for another Zune mp3 player when I found some horrible news.Microsoft is killing off its Zune media player. Although they still plan to sell their latest models of media players, there are currently no plans to unveil any new Zunes.
I could be a spokesperson for Zune, as I have been a fan of them for years. I know the trouble they have had with competing in the market (or should I say Apple’s market) of mp3 players, but the worst part is that they are constantly overlooked. The software made for the Zune has actually been implemented, and still exists in other Microsoft products such as Windows Phone 7, and on the Microsoft Xbox 360, so as least that part will still “live on.”
Not much can be said about this post regarding the future, although I do hope they seriously reconsider, because there are currently NO solid competitors to Apple’s iPod. SOMEBODY needs to get them a little scared.
Thanks for reading!
